Turn Tables

Lady liberty its time to set the table

Lady liberty its time to set the table,

Stop passing time with reckless behaviors,

Your children got a vision but are you able,

Will you assist in our grind for the new manifesto?

We are steady checking the sky for a sign,

Can we make it tangible?

Confused images in our mind,

Cruising our thoughts for fables,

We know we are worth more than the selling price,

We're being sold short because you refuse our plight,

We're seeking out the masses for a little insight,

Only time will tell if we will work together,

For what its worth Lady Liberty we are worth it,

We will never conform to your comfort,

We are trying to look ahead to the future staying focused,

We your children are praying we aren't left hopeless,

Watching bread being thrown to the homeless,

Let them eat cake but is that their fate?

We call out your name but never see a face,

The highest kingdoms shall fall,

Is that what we are waiting for?

We can't beg for guidance that's over due,

Why opened your arms to the world?

You promised freedom to us all,

The only freedom is during the fall,

I'm not talking about Autumn,

I am talking about the free falling,

There's nothing in life free they say?

Well them meaning us all beg to differ,

The lies that are told flow free like a river,

We don't want problems...

We don't want to be a bother...

We just want common knowledge,

What they do and what we see need to add up for our inner peace.

If that's too much to ask for then unlock the door,

However we will keep the keys for it is the craftsmanship of our ancestry🙏🏾
