The pulling of the rope
as my feet sink into the sand
The harder I pull
The stronger I feel
Someone pushing me closer to them
Makes me feel weak inside
So I must pull tighter on that rope so I do not sink
It’s a push pull
Type of fight to see who must win
Either I let go of the rope and fight for what I want
Or I keep pulling away and walk away
It’s my choice
do I stand tall in the sand and fight
Or do I release the rope and move on?
Do I?
Let someone who loves me help show me
the way
of truly being loved
or do I?
Let go of the rope
go on my marry way
and be alone
with just a rope in my hand
With my feet still stuck in the sand
As I sink further away and alone
Until there’s nothing left
except the sand and the rope

I’ve always had a interest in poetry since I took a creative writing class in high school. Writing poetry is my safe place where I can either get positive or sometimes negative energy out by my writing of poetry.
