a gasping

sigh

fear holds on tight

refusing to let go

a change

the blame

dark claims the night

numbing from head to toe

a hollow breath

as fog set in

heavy, consuming light

a weight no one can know

frozen

and stuck

and half alive

time insisting that i go {on}

that empty space

life can't erase

nothing in black and white

nothing left to show

to start again

i play pretend

the world changing overnight

with no one here to hold

time to move on

party of one

in human natures plight

all together alone

In this never ending feeling of absence
