True love isn’t simple to fall in and out easily

a Villanelle

there is a little hut up in the Alps, where his wisteria appears once in a year with all its beauty

True love isn’t simple to fall in and out easily,

gripping at its throat, you must be a firm believer,

to seek, to see, to find, to grasp, to lose willingly.

*

Old men fear fragility, young men their frequency,

young women do it all, old women do it quicker.

True love isn’t simple to fall in and out easily.

*

Look at the sky, see its stars shining so dashingly

none of it matters if the lovers do not see it glitter,

all to praise, witness, grasp, and lose willingly.

*

I’ve done it once, and I shall do it again greedily,

To seek, to see, to find, to grasp, and to trigger

the heart of me. True love doesn’t come so easily.

*

It conquers the castles of the heart dreamingly,

its caravan arrives fast, but you will remain a slow figure.

The feeling is like a waterfall, moving and so heavenly.

*

To fall for one is to have no religion but to peacefully

give the heart to love itself, a truth at times so bitter,

true love isn’t simple to taste in and out this easily

to seek the truth is the winner, and the other, a quitter.
