The Luckiest Feeling
It wasn’t lightning
no wild storm
just your hand
and everything warm
The world kept turning
but mine stood still
your name grew quiet
then filled me full
No ring, no crown
just shared old songs
the weight of knowing
where I belong
We walk side by side
with nothing to prove
your back to my back
our shadows move
Some chase diamonds
some count gold
I touch your heart
and I feel whole
No one told me
it could feel like this
not fire, not flight
just honest bliss
True love is rare
they always say
but here you are
and here I’ll stay.
