True Colors

I spent my whole life feeling like blue.

Until recently, I was shown what is true.

Blue is what led me to you.

So dizzy and lost, no grace to be seen.

Filled with dirt from the world, yet you washed me clean.

Suddenly serene, no longer dark green.

Your Universal love works out my kinks.

Your knowledge and wisdom broke karmic links.

I don’t have to think when I chat with pink.

We took away the screen to show the obscene.

Your light was gentle, no need to demean.

You lifted my spirit with a friend like tangerine.

My selfishness fled, could it be more dead?

It took me some time but I rose from my bed.

You lit me on fire with life that is red.

Your son helps me grow, forevermore, I know.

Positive or negative, I go with the flow.

When grey clouds are gone, I see your rainbow.

I looked inwards and saw what I could do.

Red, tangerine, pink, green, and blue.

I thank God that you showed me, it was always you.
