A cluster of roses
Clinging tight to the vine
Regretful the thorns
Fractured, yet they survive
Petals soft and supple
Crushed under the weight
A velvety crumble
Pressed hard by the gate
The sweet fragrant lingers
Despite its demise
It wafts and it whispers
Floating into the sky
Affirming that beauty
Is deeply engrained
Fulfilling her duty
Saving those needing saved
Reserving the thorn
For another day
Regrowth and-reborn
Where the wild things play
Beauty beyond sight
And strength like no other
Every creature takes flight
Nurtured well by their mother
Nature aids life’s survival
Giving all that it needs
By daily providing
And planting the seeds
