Trees stand tall and strong and green,
Their leaves rustling in the breeze.
Their branches reaching for the sky,
Their roots deep in the earth's crust lie.
Trees give us life and so much more,
From shade on a hot summer's shore.
To homes for creatures big and small,
Trees are the backbone of it all.
Their bark rough, their leaves so fine,
Trees are a sight to behold divine.
Standing silent, watchful and wise,
Trees are nature's grand prize.
So let us honor and protect,
These giants we should not neglect.
For without trees, where would we be?
Lost in a world barren and free
