I ate the slice
raspberries folded in cream
Fresh cream, fresh fitted cream topped
I ate each bite, imagining you tasted
Of the eggs, butter, sugar, flour, salt
Creamy, so sweet
I ate the entire slice, my taste buds grinding on your skin
As if the crumb was your skin
As if the cream was your voice
I ate your voice
It was mine
I ate the prosciutto and cheese
Treats
You are my treat
I savor
I long to have
Treats
Tea singing down my throat
As if you knew I needed a hot steaming cup of
You.
