Between comings and goings, on the train of life

Do we know our destination?

It's just a madness,

A burst of love,

A collapse of sorrows,

And with the misfortunes,

Tortures, stumbles, apprehensions,

Consonant or dissonant seams?

Conformity or struggle,

Choices...

Impacted by reality,

or awakened by necessity,

A reflection of what we intimately believe,

A combination of empirical and conceptual knowledge,

Added to feeling,

In the balance, experience and science.

What needs to be done and what should be done.

The meaningful and the practical,

Deep questions,

Employment or peace?

Health or disorder?

Letting go of appearances or immersing yourself in them?

The passage of time or its denial?

Apparent happiness or the search for the perennial?

Union for affection or for money?

Emotional stability or the apathetic happiness of social networks?

But in the uncertain,

An introspective path,

On the train tracks

Life only as disdain.
