Indecipherable

It fades

It all fades away

What it is, I cannot decipher

But it abandons me

When I need it most

Leaving bear hands

To fend for death

Alone

Is it courage?

Is it hope?

What is the element

That leaves me

Basking my essence in a false future

What is it

That leaves the sour

Taste in my mouth

Like vinegar gone all wrong

The dropping of the heart?

The need to run far, far away

Where reality can never reach?

Where fantasy reigns

I’m all it’s glory and

Can comfort me

Into worlds nonexistent?

Hope? I feel like the jigsaw piece is hope, which persists in stories when we lose it ourselves.

Hey, I love this line; That leaves the sour Taste in my mouth Like vinegar gone all wrong. You write amazing! no matter how many people read it. I'm crazy over your stuff!
