Baby, I miss you.

I desire you—crave you—

my heart aches in your absence.

Why did God make you so beautiful?

Why did He let you steal my heart?

Is this what love feels like?

If so, I pray this feeling never fades.

So warm. So whole.

I want to trace your body like scripture—

love every place you’ve ever felt unsure.

Not out of lust,

but out of trust.

Do you feel safe with my touch?

Are my words a balm to your soul?

Do you need more than flowers and gold—

do you need forever?

I’d give the world just to see you glow.

You’re a goddess in your own right.

Let me hold you close,

just one more dance in the moonlight,

before the lamp flickers

and I wake up

alone.
