Torrid Affairs

a poem by Solomon

torrid affairs by Solomon

In the tempest's rage, they succumb to the wild,

A tumultuous saga, passion undefiled.

Yearning so fierce, it refuses restraint,

An intoxicating magnetism, inflicting wounds unfeint.

The tempest of desire rages like a fatal storm,

An onslaught of emotions, a chaos to conform.

The blaze of longing ignites like a ravaging fire,

Devouring all in its wake, with unrelenting ire.

Their love is a blight, a lethal fixation,

A venomous tie that festers sans salvation.

Yet it fades, leaving only agony and rue,

The inferno of love burns fierce and true.

In the searing clasp of their torrid liaison,

They find solace, yet also forlorn.

For love so potent and untamed, it lingers still,

And the repercussions of their ardor will forever instil.

In the heat of the night, they're swept away,

By the torrents of their love, they cannot allay.

Their love is a sin, a fatal attraction,

A perilous waltz of craving and affection.

But oh, how they ache to flee this fervid entwine,

Yet their love seems forever caught in this fatal design.

For in the blaze of passion, they've met their plight,

A love that will ensnare them, and forever ignite.
