The world doesn't seem so small with hundreds of miles between us or hundreds of miles between myself and where I want to be;

places never in the same location leave me torn to choose

to stay or go, to quit and start over or remain encaged by what feels safe.

Love does little to settle the score when it plays both sides,

setting me on track to lose, making bets for and against the same team.

How can I root for only one?

How can I pick one dream out of two,

or, at least, how can I justify the sacrifice and accept it?
