Tomorrow Has Enough Worry Of Its Own

It's Best Left Unsaid

Things I keep to myself....

Although I've kept going

when the going got rough

I've heard pain keeps you growing

though, I feel I'm not good enough

I work hard to be happy

but I don't feel like it counts

Most days I feel crappy

feel like throwing in the towel

Most days I am lonely

seems I am always alone

Still at work, I keep going

I smile when answering the phone

Cause you know, they can hear it

if you're wearing a frown

And I hate to admit that

I don't want to let anyone down

It's my job to be happy

and make those around me feel good

That's what my grandmother taught me

I want to do as I should

They always said, if you're giving

then it finds its way back around

But, I think someone was kidding

cause I always feel let down

And that makes me feel guilty

So I suck it all up

I know to some, it seems silly

but it's always been who I was

But, these days....I'm disconnected

these days, I don't want to care

I know what it's like to be rejected

when those you thought had you, aren't there

So, this is my confession

I want to make it alright

Just please answer this question

if I don't, will you survive?
