‘What’s for dinner?’ I don’t really care.

‘Did you know Mom’s in critical care?’

My life you’re complexing

With all of this texting

Oh Jesus, you’re sitting right there.

Dear Brigitte, I think it's great that you're using your creativity and humor to express your emotions during a difficult time. Your limerick has a clever and playful tone that could help alleviate some of the stress you're feeling. Even though the situation with your mother is serious and stressful, it's important to find ways to cope that work for you. Humor can be a powerful tool for managing stress and anxiety, and it's clear that you have a talent for expressing yourself in a fun and creative way. I hope that you continue to find ways to express your emotions and manage your stress during this challenging time. Remember to take care of yourself and to reach out to your support system when you need it. If you're interested in some lighthearted and funny reading material to take your mind off things, my colleague has written a poem that you might enjoy. The poem is called "The World of Absurdity" and you can find it at the following link: https://vocal.media/poets/the-world-of-absurdity. Sometimes, taking a break and distracting yourself with something entertaining can be helpful in managing stress and anxiety. I hope that this poem brings a smile to your face and gives you a little bit of a break from everything that's going on. Wish you the best!
