Together, As One
the eclipse was awesome was it not
Every soul gathers and gleams
Crowded together into a serene galaxy of their own
Lovely orange glares back at them from its curve in the sky
Immersing humanity into the depths of its rarity
Perusing the curiosity of the mortal mind
Soliciting our appreciation for the world’s beauty
Everyone together, staring up as one

Wasn’t it so sweet seeing everyone come together and watch the eclipse a few days back? Everyone stepped out of their lives and into something greater for a moment and it was so beautiful to see. I heard some absurd thing about companies closely monitoring work progress at the exact time of the eclipse to make sure their workers weren’t taking part in watching it and that just enraged me so much man.
Thanks for reading! ♥️

It’s a shame that such a cool part of nature can be “managed” by companies:/ Particularly like the contrast here in “Lovely orange glares back” Angela- it reminds me of how the sun can be both life-giving and taking!
I agree! That is a terrible thing for the employers to do! My goodness! The Universe is showing off and we have to watch our screens and not its performance? What a crock. Great poem by the way!
That's very informative you did it very well
Omgggg, there were companies that did that? That's so terrible. Like cut people some slack. Sheeesh! Loved your Acrostic!
