To Rest

The curtain is drawn

Beloved Mother.

The curtain is drawn and it should be the end.

You took a bow while the heavens hailed

The crowd with wet faces and evil grin;

It's a multitude even in the church.

You dimmed with the light

And could be smiling from beyond.

It's not funny mum,

Don't give me that laugh.

They might have lost a soldier but I, my world.

I've watched you sacrifice so we could have;

The best of life and life itself.

"Vanity… everything is vanity"

Solomon had forewarned but I never listened.

The curtain is drawn and it should be the end.

But it isn't or we're of all the most miserable.

The super heroine you were,

I will tell the tale.

For several others shall be raised in your name.

-Edara.
