To relive what I had once felt

A sonnet of love and loss

Did you gaze far too, beyond the horizon?

Oh the what-ifs, my mind scrambles to cling

Of the plans etched from our expressions

Such memories now become worth remembering

Little fishes gathering, children running on the beach

The glimmering sunset seemed to never disappear

As did the warm tide beneath our feet

Oh, what a time! Oh, what a year!

And as I sit here like we once did

To relive what I had once felt

Well my dear, how could I forget a thing?

For that once burning desire my heart still melts

Of the shared glimpses and how we rode those waves

And all in a blink, we too fade.
