what would happen if no one died
no tears to shed in grief
no apologies left unspoken
friendships may sour
hatred may soften
you never have to say goodbye
suffering may become monotonous
happiness may taste bitter
born with a fear of permanence
a duty to endure eternity
a heart that is destined to break
with no promise of relief
only a promise to remember the pain
two choices left
melancholy or cruelty
why would anyone choose immortality
it prolongs all the worst parts
while the good fades in to obscurity

Exceptional example of our inner adversity; brilliant!
I definitely wouldn't wanna be an immortal. Life sucks, lol. Loved your poem!
