The smell of oil burns away,
A friend has invited me over to stay.
Her home is cozy and tight but by no sense small,
When entering you'd feel comforts touch from wall, to wall, to wall.
Fresh food in the kitchen and the glow of the fire,
This is my favourite place that I truly desire.
Wine on the air and hearty food on large plates,
An oasis of good intentions washes away my mistakes.
We share stories and gossip about our day-to-day things,
I go to her piano and while I play, she sings.
We snuggle up in a blanket fort under sheet,
Ocassionally others would join us and our day would feel complete.

Family is everything to me, I do this in the hope I can one day to support them. You'll find short stories and tantalizing prologues. Sickly dark humour and honest realism. A wannabe writer testing the waters.
