Time Travel Woes

The Tale of the Disgruntled Traveler

In a world where the impossible is made real,

Where the mysteries of time are open to all,

There was a traveler, a man of means,

Who embarked on a journey, through the ages, to see.

He traveled with excitement, with a heart full of glee,

Thinking time travel would bring him happiness and glee.

But little did he know, his expectations were high,

And his dreams were to be shattered, like a fragile sky.

Chapter 1: The Painful Past

He went to the past, where he longed to be,

But what he saw was a world void of harmony.

He met his ancestors, but they were plagued with despair,

Their lives were a struggle, a daily snare.

He saw the wars, the famines, the plagues,

The suffering of the innocent, the cruelty of the ages.

He tried to help, to change the course of events,

But his presence was fleeting, and he couldn't make amends.

He wept for the children, who were forced to bear,

The weight of the world, and its endless glare.

He bled for the women, who were treated as pawns,

Their lives were a burden, a never-ending yawn.

He was angry at the injustice, the pain and the strife,

He wanted to change it, to give them a better life.

But he knew he couldn't, his powers were slim,

He was just a visitor, in this world of sin.

Chapter 2: The Frigid Future

He went to the future, expecting a world of ease,

But what he found was a cold and robotic freeze.

The people were numb, their hearts turned to stone,

The warmth of love and kindness was nowhere to be shown.

He saw the cities, the machines, the technology,

But it was all empty, without a shred of humanity.

He tried to connect, to feel their inner light,

But all he got was a cold and empty night.

He was saddened by the sight, the emptiness of the place,

He wanted to change it, to give them a better space.

But he knew he couldn't, his presence was fleeting,

He was just a visitor, in this world of cheating.

Chapter 3: The Burden of Time

The bureaucracy of time, it's enough to make you scream,

Endless forms to fill, and rules that are beyond extreme.

The cost, oh the cost, it's a fortune to pay,

For a fleeting moment of adventure, that's only imaginary.

He was burdened by the weight, the endless red tape,

He wanted to escape, to break free of the cage.

But he knew he couldn't, he was trapped in the maze,

Of the time stream, that flows in an endless haze.

Chapter 4: The Longing for Home

His heart ached for home, for the love and warmth he knew,

For the simple joys that time couldn't subdue.

He missed the laughter, the love, the joy and the cheer,

The warmth of a hug, that could make all the fear disappear.

He wanted to go back, to the world he left behind,

To the people he loved, to the memories he left behind.

But he knew he couldn't, he had to move on,

To find a way to heal, to carry on.

Epilogue:

He's a disgruntled time traveler, with tears in his eyes,

With stories of pain, that he wishes he could despise.

The woes of time travel, they're a burden to bear,

But he'll keep moving forward, with hope and a prayer.

In a world where the impossible is made real,

Where the mysteries of time are open to all,

There's a traveler, who's experienced it all,

With a heart full of pain, but he's not going to fall.

For he knows that time, it's a cruel and a fickle mistress,

It brings you joy, but it also brings you distress.

But he'll keep on traveling, through the ages, to see,

For he knows that there's more to life, than just glee.

And maybe one day, he'll find the answer,

To the riddle of time, and the pain of the cancer.

But until then, he'll keep on moving, with hope in his heart,

For he knows that the journey, is where the magic starts.

So here's to the traveler, the disgruntled one,

May he find what he's looking for, before the journey's done.

And may he learn to see, that the past, the present and the future,

Are all connected, like a chain that's sturdy and sure.

For time is just an illusion, a trick of the mind,

And the present is the gift, that's been given to mankind.

So let us cherish it, let us make it worthwhile,

And let us embrace the present, with a smile.

For time travel is a journey, that's both bitter and sweet,

It's a path full of obstacles, but it's also a treat.

So let us embark on this journey, with hope in our hearts,

For the magic of time travel, will never depart.

So here's to the traveler, the disgruntled one,

May he find what he's looking for, before the journey's done.

And may he learn to see, that the past, the present and the future,

Are all connected, like a chain that's sturdy and sure.
