Time Machine
Sleep is the quickest journey to the next day

Sleep is like a time machine to the next day,
Though if I had a time machine, I’d say
I would go back to that day- where the late spring sunshine basked,
A memory of plans made, both unmasked
If I close my eyes I can still remember what you said
“Yeah, definitely” about the plans we made
I wish I had known it was the last time,
I guess it will have to remain in my dreams-the thin line
Between awake and asleep- My memories are fading,
I have almost forgotten the sound of your voice
Though, not quite- one day, for some reason, I made a choice
To MP3 one of your voicemail notes
I fear any message will just float…
