Why take a second
When a minute is there to see
From then to forever
For now and eternity.
The moment can be seen
Though the sound fade away
As time gets lost in moments
As night gets lost in day
For a minute seems forever
Where a second scurries by
As the time we were promised
Proves to be all just a lie.
So take the minute where you can
For the memories that they bring
As the seconds are lost forever
Leave us wondering
What if we had done
What if we had seen
What if we had lived
How different our lives would have been.
