The Diminishing Verse Poem is commonly written in tercets (three lines in each stanza)

The last word of each line gradually β€œdiminishes” from one line to the next, usually by removing one or two letters from the beginning of the word.

An example of this would be the transition from β€œsmart” to β€œmart” to β€œart”.

This form was taken from Dharrsheens's Top Story here:

The Prompt

Write an acrostic using the word distraction.

Read all about it here

So I am combining an Acrostic with a Diminishing Verse Poem. I had to add an extra line to make it four Tercets so that will probably disqualify it from the challenge but we can but try.

It is free form as surreal but I have merged the two, in my opinion, successfully.
