This Spot On My Face

The spot on my face, it’s taking control,

A tiny disaster, a terrible toll.

I glance in the mirror and see it there,

A bright little speck with a bold, red glare.

I try to stay calm, I try to be cool,

But it’s testing my patience and breaking the rules.

Will it be here forever, or soon go away?

I’m counting the hours, I’m watching each day.

Until then, I’ll bear it, this itch that won’t quit,

And dream of the moment I’m rid of it.

But for now, I’ll endure, though it’s far from a breeze,

With a prayer on my lips for some sweet, sweet ease.
