Don’t follow my brand

It’ll lead you into the sunset

too soon.

A woman is full of notoriety

when the dawn has come —

and the birds have stopped

singing.

I’m not here to debate the cause

for your future.

This isn’t the same brand that

I used to clarify a man to believe

in the state of timing, that’s what I’m

confused about.

I’m using this deep alto for my

own sanity. Because I’m a woman

in hopes of finding love in these

tense dimensions.

I made a statement some time ago

about my love, that meant something.

The lies aren’t formulated to protect me

— place me into a box that looks like

a room.

That’s injustice.
