this is the way

taken closer by creating distance

every life must die some day, for the temporal being

there is no wrong that isn't also right

you can be found in another time and place

a polarized event, being pushed to the edge of epiphany

because this is the world we live in

and there is no place like home

the farther from it we go takes us just as close

observing darkness defines what the light can touch

any place in that spectrum is the same

one can't be without the other

community is just another way to say segregated

some are made to be on their own for others to be together

if you want to be better something has to be worse

the desire to improve is what keeps the world needing to

there is no middle ground in duality but conflict

middle ground doesn't exist in an all or nothing world

but that is where you will find me

nowhere, going, solo, struggling

because i am already everything i wish i could be

more of less is the secret i keep from that last tin soldier

ride into the sunset, spoils of war on display

victorious and nothing left to live, die, or fight for

betweeen me, beside myself, and i am no competition

for the impending doom of mortality

even everything isn't all there is to have, be, know, do, or see

infinity is a repetitious self-fulfilling prophecy

one, among many, as one
