This Guy is a Liar

Nothing is as it seems

I want to tell you all

about this guy I know,

known him for a while.

He is a cold,

heartless bastard.

Who knows the countless

lives he's ruined

when they bought into

his strong voice

choice

he makes you pick

He is a liar

Have you ever seen

or believed

anything

that left you so bereaved

a knife

center-left

of your chest

deep and twist

we forget who we are

at the bar

as we numb our pain

leaving mornings twice as drained

your eyes beat

with every step

He says you're

Weak

outlook bleak

streak of destruction

no gumption

as everyday passes

like cryostasis

alive but not true

to you he says

worthless

unloved

Falling under his boot

as every word piles and piles and piles and piles

lose your breath

can't speak

lose your friends

you don't see

who could ever love someone

as weird and strange as you

love a person

with nothing to show from their life

lose your heart

you can't fight

maybe you

just die.

Breathe...

tell him

he's a liar

pull out the knife

your twisted scar remains

stained

but you healed

You said 'no'

Hope

Friends

Love

I have value

more than what I do

with my day

I no longer care

for what you

have to say

Fear

this guy is a liar
