They Were Wrong

The Calendar Doesn't Lie

By DeEtta MillerPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

They gave us six months

It broke my young heart

I started to question

If we should just part

Children, grandchildren

A legacy dream job

If I had listened

This they would rob

Our lives found the answer

Half a century ago

I will love you forever

This I know

love poems
