The World is just a Great Big Onion
This song from my childhood seemed silly back then, but now I don’t think so
A Great Big Onion…
According to the song that’s what
The world is
But so are we
In all our endeavours
No sooner have you healed a wound
Or learnt a lesson
Something or someone
Begins to pick at another layer
Oh it could mean this
Did I do that, because of this?
Triggers hit
Healing( and learning)
Continues
And some never
Get around to checking out their layers
It hurts!
Digging around in that stuff
A better you
That’s a lazy description
There is much more to it than that
More evolved
More aware of what is nonsense
And what is not
But as the song says
“Every single soul's got to do their share
So come on, let's knock on every door
Tell them love is the answer”
Easier said (or sung) than done
But once we know, have been made aware
shouldn’t we try?
