The Wondrous World Behind My Eyelids

I had a dream one night so wild and strange

A menagerie of creatures, all so deranged

A talking dog with wings, a dolphin in a suit

A giant cat with laser eyes, it was no ordinary hoot

The moon shone bright, a glowing orb

As I wandered through this world, so weird and bizarre

My feet barely touched the ground

I floated through the air, with a wild, unbridled bound

The sky was filled with swirling, psychedelic hues

A rainbow-colored vortex, the kind you can't refuse

I let myself get sucked in, with a smile on my face

As I tumbled through the air, at an incredible pace

I landed in a field of flowers, all a vibrant shade of blue

The petals soft so and velvety, they brushed against my shoe

As I walked, the dream became even more absurd

A talking tree, a singing cloud, and a monkey riding a bird

But despite the craziness, I felt such joy and saw such delights

As I explored this dream world, with all its peculiar sights

I never wanted it to end, this wild and wondrous ride

But alas, all good things must come to an end, I sighed

As I woke up from my dream, I couldn't help but feel

A sense of longing, a desire to return and see what's not real

But for now, I'll hold onto the memories of that night

I'll cherish them forever, and let my imagination take flight
