Don’t feel like writing now?
That’s okay, you can write later.
It's later now, and you still don't feel like writing?
That’s also fine!
You can just do it tomorrow.
Ah, it’s tomorrow and you still don’t want to?
That’s okay, save it for tonight.

The best part about writing
Is you can do it whenever you want!
Has it been a year since you last wrote anything?
Feel confident in knowing
That you can still tell all those people
You want to impress
That you are indeed, an author.
If they ask to read something you’ve written, don’t panic:
They’re probably a robot
Because no real human
Will ever ask to read anything you’ve written!

Feeling confident in your abilities?
Then entering a writing competition is the thing to do!
It’s guaranteed to give you a lifetime’s worth
Of insecurities and anxieties!
But there’s no need to fret and wonder
If everyone is or isn’t a better author than you are,
Because every one of them is!

So get out there and write!
It’s easy! It’s fun! It won’t cause an existential crisis
Every time you sit down to create!

Why Just Write Is The Best Advice You Don’t Listen To
Before the last 6 months, I hadn’t written anything that wasn’t for my job or university for a number of years. I wanted to write more, I used to write all the time just for fun. I used to write poems and short stories that were just for me. I used to show them to certain members of my family but it was the process of writing them that I really enjoyed.

Someone recently said "If Mike doesn't write there is something wrong in the world", that both amused me and warmed my heart, so I am looking for something to write about today. I really enjoyed this piece and it has a lot of good advice for all
