The Whisper of Home
Love lingers like a whisper in the day
The first date of board games starting at midnight,
Sweetness erupts with every kiss.
The wine accompanying homemade spaghetti,
The best date I’d never forget.
It’s these moments that feel like home.
A small box of handwritten dates for two,
Unfolding experiences and adventure.
The night of movies and miniature golf,
A lifetime of memories to share.
It’s the lasting joy that feels like home.
It’s Dolce and Gabanna the one that lingers past me,
Gently reminding me of your loving embrace.
The afternoons spent tangled together with soft kisses,
Avoiding the moment it would have to end.
It’s the little things that feel like home.
It’s the days in bed enveloped in blankets,
That the illness begins to fade away.
A fear of the future and what will become,
Hope to shine the way.
You are what feels like home.
