A crack in joy, a whispered tear,
A heart that aches, a hidden fear.
The sun still shines, the birds still sing,
But shadows creep, a discord's ring.
Amidst the laughter, a silent sigh,
A world of bliss, a tearful eye.
The weight of news, a heavy blow,
In happy halls, a seed of woe.
A smile remains, a fragile shield,
From burdens borne, yet unrevealed.
The carefree spirit, dimmed and strained,
As sunshine battles with the rain.
Memories dance, a bittersweet sting,
Of joyful times, the heart can't cling.
The present jars, a cruel compare,
To what once was, a love to share.
But hope persists, a tiny spark,
To mend the heart, to leave its mark.
For even joy, with sorrow laced,
Can bloom anew, in time embraced
