The Weeper

Bronze weeper, forlorn in silent mourning.

I sit in a graveyard

Sinking in a sea of tombs.

Skeleton trees surround

Crows screech from branches.

Bronze weeper, forlorn in silent mourning.

One figure placed a wreath

Upon the sacred cross.

Sinking in a sea of tombs.

Long flowing gown, she covers her face,

We can’t see her tears.

Bronze weeper, forlorn in silent mourning.

She stands perched upon her lover’s grave

Folds in her dress reveal droplets of dew.

Sinking in a sea of tombs.

Heartbroken they are,

How eternally sad.

Bronze weeper, forlorn in silent mourning.

Sinking in a sea of tombs.
