The Wealthy

In a land of dreams and golden seams,

Where wealth flows like shimmering streams,

Lies a tale of riches, untold and true,

Of the wealthy and the dreams they pursue.

In opulent houses, they reside,

On mountains of riches, they preside,

Diamonds adorn their fingers so fair,

And silken gowns drape with utmost care.

Their pockets filled with fortunes and gold,

Yet the worth within, remains unsold,

For money can't buy a heart that's true,

Or mend the scars of a soul so blue.

They tread on paths paved with silver gleams,

But happiness eludes them, it seems,

Their eyes filled with blaze of material gain,

Yet emptiness echoes through every vein.

Their lavish banquets set with grandeur,

Feasting on delicacies sans the flavor,

For what is a meal if shared alone,

Without loved ones by your side, unknown?

Their world confined to a gilded cage,

Blinded by wealth, trapped in a grand stage,

For true wealth lies not in pockets deep,

But in embraces shared as hearts leap.

In the shadows, the humble dwell,

Striving each day, their stories to tell,

Unassuming, they cherish the priceless,

Love, laughter, and moments they caress.

For a heart unburdened by worldly wealth,

Finds riches in the simplest of itself,

So let us seek not gold in excess,

But the treasures that bring true happiness.

Let us not be defined by what we own,

But by the seeds of kindness we've sown,

For wealth is measured not in gold and gems,

But in the joy found in genuine friends.
