The murky waters what secrets they hold
The bodies and secrets that remain untold
The sun appears to be trying to shine through
However, the silence of the moment shows the truth
As I stare at the water I know the feeling is different
A truth that I have been hiding because I wanted to deny what was in plain view
My child was lost to me forever, although his heart beat here on earth
Deep in the water lied the truth and it finally surfaced
My son although living held a hate they I could not penetrate
He was someone I didn't know but yearned to make a persona
Of whom I wished that he had been
In the murky waters was the wisdom that I missed all along
He was never the person I had hoped he would become
And I feel ever so sad
