The angels and the fallen

The covering of the eagle feathers, the fire in his eyes,

He raises his mighty sword and shouts his battle cries,

Like a lion jealous of his pride, his kin,

A war to wage, a battle to win,

With a mere gesture of arm and the flick of his wrist,

He rules death for his enemies, the plot would twist,

His legions of Angels shout their battle cry,

Wear the light abode and the heavens lie,

Their fallen brethren cast aside,

Neither their proper position held, nor their dignite would the abide,

They craved the flesh, their vengeance like the smoldering furnace of wrath,

Their draconic king would reap his aftermath,

And so they fought in the midst of night,

Where wisdom was safeguarded and her child, the dragons delight,

Her stars in procession, The moon under her feet, cloth with the sun and its light,

Yet the ruling declared, the beast would lose,

The watery serpent cast down to the earth and the rest of her children he would abuse,

She went upon the desert to stay safeguarded from the foe,

As her child would be protected like the fawn safeguarded by the doe...
