The Unloved Twins

A mother who hated her babies

The Unloved Twins

In a quiet room the twins were born

a mother’s hands that fed and cared

but cold between her silent eyes

no warmth to hold them when they cried

She kept them safe but never close

her heart a room shut tight and bare

two fragile lives beneath her watch

but love was something not to share

They learned to live without her touch

to grow in shadows of her gaze

her presence like a distant ghost

that never softened or would stay

In a quiet room the twins remain

with care but never feeling loved

two souls that waited, still and quiet

for something more they never found

just an angry mother never proud.
