The Unfolding Tapestry of Change

A Journey Through Transformation and Progress

By salem fekry Published 3 years ago • 1 min read

In the realm of verses, I cast no competition's net,

No costly entry, no triumph to beget.

My finest lines, not hoarded for a laurel crown,

Not for a judge's nod, nor praise to be renowned.

Nor do I cloak my lesser rhymes in shadowed dismay,

No fear of critics' whispers, no dread of what they say.

Persistently, I navigate the maze of my creation,

Shredding the fragments of scribbled contemplation.

Upon bedside tables, my musings find their repose,

Doodles on paper, where inspiration ebbs and flows.

Bringing fragments together, weaving a narrative thread,

Though aware of the process, secrets may be spread.

Yet concealed in the folds, an ancient hope still clasps,

Just as when these words were birthed, in moments' gasps.

Months or years adrift, or merely yesterday's part,

Each line bears the echo, a clearing of my heart.

This one, I tell myself, holds the key to release,

A stanza to untangle, bringing my soul to peace.
