A Soldier's distant love.

When the days feel heavy and bad,

I will be at your side, so never be sad.

And when your skies are Bright and sunny,

I’ll still be there beside you, my sweet honey.

From dusk till dawn, through every mile apart,

You live safely inside my heart.

I am there through your sorrow and pain,

Reach out and hold my hand even in the rain.

No distance or political whim could weaken what we share,

Feel your heartbeat and know that I am there.

Though oceans and valleys may keep our touch far from me,

My feeling can cross time and the endlessness of space in faithfulness.

When the stars light the silence of the night above,

Look at them closely and feel all that could be love.

For every shining star you happen to see

Carries a kiss and a prayer endlessly.

And until the day comes, remember once more,

I could love you deeper than ever before.

No matter the distance, no matter how far,

You’ll always be my wish and my forever star.
