The truth

The Weight of Honesty

By Samara Pollyana Published 3 months ago 1 min read

I tell you the truth ,

that’s what you grave,

between the lines of my voice,

I whisper your name,

through our unwanted distance…in your lyrics,

I let myself in,

but the door closed before I could put my feet in,

making my heart stop beating in between,

how can it be?

Loving someone that you never ever meet,

lying on the grass,

you put your hand in mine,

and I wish you never let it go,

before you even realize…

missing you could not be worse,

i told my friends I didn’t know you,

when my soul was familiar with yours,

I used to write poems about the most silly things that would come to my mind,

no anymore…

I cannot help but writing about your sarcastic smile and the way you brush your hair,

the way u used to look at me,

as if it would be no one else,

the unsaid things ,

the promises that we had,

and the ones I still keep,

hoping you will be the one ,

to break the curse…

you might think that’s crazy , believe me,

so do I …

certain days when I cannot sleep I picture you behind me,

holding me …

gently,

telling me that everything will be fine,

without recitation I surrender,

my eyes slowly close,

and then you are gone,

with no words or recitation,

to come in the next day,

my little time of comfortation…

love poems
