The True Beauty of a Woman

A poem of love, strength, and light

By Rohitha LankaPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

The beauty of a woman

The beauty of a woman is not the beauty of a woman

The beauty of a woman is not the beauty of a woman

The beauty of appearance is more important than the beauty of virtue

I am writing a poem today, filled with love

The Buddha was born, the great Maya bowed down

The mother of the monastery was behind the mother of Gemunu

The wife of Sidhu was a beggar, she took refuge

At birth, she was a refuge in happiness and sorrow

What is the mother of the mother, the friend of the mother?

A man is the protector of a woman

Love is the refuge she seeks when she prays

If she is given, she will be the light of the house

No matter how long a man lives in this house

Without a story, what will be the fruit of a house

The lotus flower is like a lake

You are the light that is lit in the house
