The Suicide Girl

"she's gone"

Wolves gathering around a dead sheep

Condolences sent, empty words, so cheap

Pity is thrown to an open grave

I watch them shed their crocodile tears

I let them touch me, i let them stay

"I'm so sorry for your loss" they say

But are they sorry for every threat written on her desk?

Do they feel pity for the nights she spent pondering death?

Surely, they remember the harsh words they threw

Are their tears for guilt, or adhering to society's views?

When they saw her walking a dark path alone

They made sure to trip her on her daunting road

No regret was felt back then

Do they feel it now being the reason for her death?

Her eyes are shut, she's finally at peace

But I'm left behind, picking up the pieces

Fragments of her suicide scatter throughout town

But her soul rests with me, in the lonely hours

They dried their tears as quickly as it came

It could only be possible if they were fake

The remorse they feel is short lived

Anger rushes through me, my teeth grit.

Soon, her body will be nothing but dust,

And the memories of her in this town, will all be lost.

No one will visit her grave anymore,

And the story of the Suicide Girl will be gone.
