Let me tell you a story filled with glee
About a love that had no atrophy
Built as a perfect match like lock and key
A true tale about the Stone and the Sea
+
The sea's spirit could not be truly tamed
Nor its name by any being thus claimed
Of it's great freedom it is not ashamed
But the stone stood stolid ever the same
+
Fraught white caps on wind wisps so light and bliss
Carry the sea's message one cannot miss
To the stone with caress and briny kiss
That the stone embraced with its stalwart stare
+
The stone was utterly and deeply enchanted
With the way the sea could not be calmed or planted
Mesmerized by the sea's tumult as they slanted
He could not seemingly take his eyes off of her
+
Stone hugging around her in every way
Affectionately leaning in the sway
As tides come to and fro in the play
Stone inviting the sea to always stay
+
The stone was aged from all of his years
He had survived the worst and all his fears
Built up much experience from his tears
That he would then share with her, with the sea
+
Carrying mirth within his soft stone cheeks
The sea would laugh at every time he speaks
The stone's fun and joy the sea always seeks
With the passing of the moment and day
+
Combined in their forces so very free
Nobody else that they would ever see
From each other's presence they'd never flee
Tale of love between the stone and the sea
