Gravity

Never was there a moment to soon to be caught in the dead of night.

Too fast to run, too sneaky to hide.

The earth spins the same as always, but the air seemed changed, gravity seemed gone.

If there was ever a moment where you had doubts, a split second was enough time to play out a lifetime.

Maybe the path will be littered with glass, ghosts abound behind every outstretched tree.

An erasable map always tells the truth. A confidence of heart, broken and battered.

The raven was too busy to send word, so the sparrow chirped and chirped.

Always the fool.

How could it be so simple?

But when it mattered all the glass was shattered.

Perhaps there will be scars.

Footprints of blood.

Always leading away from all the tricks gravity plays.
