The Soul I Still See Through

Part2/3

By Unknown AnonymousPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

They tell me, “Time will help you let go,”

But how do you part with a soul you know?

Not just in thought, but in every prayer —

He’s in the silence, he’s always there.

They act like love is a switch to flip,

Like I didn’t feel fire in every slip.

His voice, his glance, the way he moved —

In ways I can’t name, my heart was proved.

He’s more than a dream, more than a name,

He’s the light in my chest I cannot tame.

The way I still care, the way I still try —

He’s the reason I look to the sky.

I’ve prayed in the night with tears in my eyes,

Asked God if love like this ever dies.

But some bonds live, though they’re never said —

Some people stay, though they’re miles ahead.

I don’t want “someone,” I want him still,

Even if fate won’t bend to my will.

No copy, no echo, no second-best —

He’s the beat that still lives in my chest.

So let them talk, let them assume —

They haven’t walked in this quiet room.

He’s not just someone I’m letting pass through —

He’s the soul I still see the whole world through.
