“The Sonnet of a Honeybee”
Honeybee, try your wings when the going gets tough.
They may despise you and swat you down, but don’t you know?
Honeybee, don’t you know that you’re truly loved.
Bless their hearts for they do not know the true power you hold.
Honeybee, don’t you know they ‘ought to praise you for keeping the honey warm.
They adore your nectar, consume it, and steal it too.
Honeybee, I empathize why you might feel your colony is endangered and release an alarm.
Bless their hearts for they know they would not kill to fill your shoes.
Honeybee, you are the molder of wax and the maker of hives.
They hate to see you flying free.
Honeybee, you are the beholder of all creation and the maker of lives.
Bless their hearts for they cannot see.
Indeed, they cannot see that without you, inevitably, they would fall.
Ultimately, you are the creator of all.
