The Song of the Sand Steamer:
A Desert Ballad
The sands whisper tales of a ship of the dunes,
A beast with a soul carved by merciless moons.
The camel, he walks, with a slow, steady stride,
No water he craves, in his hump does he hide.
His lashes like fans, shield his eyes from the glare,
His wide, calloused feet, leave no footprints to share.
He kneels with a groan, like the wind in the night,
A burden he carries, with stoic, brave might.
Through valleys of fire, and plains bleached and white,
He carries our hopes, in the fading sunlight.
A ship of the desert, a friend and a guide,
The camel, he walks, with the sand by his side.
His breath, like a plume, in the chill desert air,
A symphony silent, a burden to share.
He rumbles a song, of the oasis unseen,
A promise of water, a mystical green.
So raise high a glass, to the ship of the sands,
The camel, he walks, with life in his hands.
May his journey be blessed, by the moon and the sun,
The desert's own hero, the tirelessly one.
